Hi-Tech Horror

The Thirteenth Floor

On the 13th floor of a super hi-tech software company, experiments in cyber reality are taking place — with nutty results. Downloading their consciousness into pre-determined templates, the geniuses behind this ground-breaking project “transport” themselves back to cyber L.A., circa 1937. (Beer, it should be noted, can do much the same thing, without all the wires and modems.)

The Thirteenth Floof

Things go topsy turvy as the “people” in the alternate world begin to discover they’re not real — and dang it, are quite upset. Where this potboiler gets moving is when the computer guys find out they’re pretty much in the same pile ’o crap; Their world is fake, too!

The Thirteenth Floor

Nice Back to the Future (1985) twists and turns in The Thirteenth Floor (1999), though you have to pay attention or you’ll end up wondering where the heck you are. Note of importance: The chick in this movie is very hot and she has sex with the main guy, but they don’t show her cyber tush. Post-Reagan science fiction is so prudish.
